CWILA is a not-for-profit feminist literary organization that supports strong and active female and genderqueer perspectives in the Canadian literary landscape. Members receive a quarterly newsletter, promotion on the CWILA website and access to the CWILA listserv which connects feminist writers, editors, publishers and critics from across Canada. Membership fees support the annual CWILA count, critical and statistical analysis of Canadian review culture, the CWILA Critic-In-Residence program, and the production of original research and critical work on Canadian gender issues, as well as issues of race, class and sexuality.

Membership is gender inclusive and by a “pay what you can” sliding scale donation, with a suggested donation of $25. Donations are tax deductible for professional writers and members who donate $100+ will be recognized on our donors page.
